Lockdown Update - July 7th 2021
The NSW Government has today announced that the stay-at-home orders will be extended until 11.59pm on Friday, 16 July 2021.
That means all football activities within Greater Sydney will remain suspended until 11.59pm on Friday, 16 July 2021.
What does this mean for Football in Greater Sydney?
All games scheduled for this weekend 10th of July onwards, including midweek games, are postponed. Following this announcement BDAFA will re-schedule the return to play for the 17th of July 2021.
It should be noted that as there is still no provision for return to training prior to commencement of games. Participants are permitted to exercise individually, but no organised training is to take place.
In the communication from the Premier, it was noted that a road map out of lockdown will be provided over the coming days. BDAFA been working on multiple scenarios, much like last year, once they have a full understanding of the NSW Government’s plans, they will communicate our full return to play.
